My blog title comes from my favorite series of childrens' books, The Chronicles of Narnia. In THE LAST BATTLE at the very end, the children realize they have made it to heaven. "For them it was only the beginning of the real story...all their life in this world ...had only been the cover and the title page: now ...they were beginning the Great Story...which goes on forever: in which every chapter is better than the one before."
“A little boy is the only thing God can use to make a man.”
–Unknown
"There is an enduring tenderness in the love of a mother to a son that transcends all other affections of the heart."
– Washington Irving , writer
May the new day bring you
blessings
As the light comes filtering
through
May your sunrise be as lovely
As a morning draped in dew.
May the wind blow forth a
promise
Sending sweet bouquets your way
May life seem a little brighter
As you rise to greet the day.
May the daybreak render pleasure
As the birds begin to sing
May the distant roll of thunder
Bring forth a touch of spring.
May the mist embrace the silence
Like a fire fly in the night
May an angel walk beside you
To hold you in the light.
May the rain caress your body
And life drops flood your soul
May His Spirit come upon you
To cleanse and make you whole.
May the showers come so gently
Running gently through your hair
May you touch the living water
And know that He is there.
May the freshness bring you
new life
Pushing through the tender sod
May you pause to pick a flower
And touch the hand of God.

Cute pic! Also loved the comments on friendship. I echo your sentiments!!
I love the snow family...we made one of those several years back during a Thanksgiving trip to my Mom's (it was the first snow of the season...and so exciting). To be honest...the work a family snow family would now require (6!!!!)seems too much. But we certainly had enough snow this year to try. However, in the Chicago area most of the snow is dry and doesn't pack well. We did make one mammoth snow man this year...and then it froze solid due to a major drop in temps and literally stayed up over a month. So, I guess I'll suffice to say we are going for longevity not quantity...but my hat is off to you all...I know the work you put into it...and all worth it for the look on Anson's face everytime he comes home and sees his "family".
